We went to a fellowship today and we sang this song. It's like a chorus song, but I really LOVE it! I hope you will enjoy worshiping him while listening to this music.
Well, today is a definite rainy day. I went to the mailbox to mail something off today and when I got back inside I looked like a spotted dalmation! It is, without a doubt, a rainy day!
"I'm just a little black rain cloud
Hovering under the honey tree
I'm just a little black rain cloud
Pay no attention to little me
Everyone knows that a rain cloud
Never eats honey, no, not a nip
I'm just floating around over the ground
Wondering where I will drip "
In addition to that, I am pondering making apple pie again today...hmmmm... maybe.
Here's another cute rainy day song that I like alot!
Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
Beating a tune as you fall all around
Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
What can compare with your beautiful sound?
Beautiful sound, beautiful sound
Drip, drop, drip, drop
Drip, drip, drop
When the sky is cloudy
Your pretty music will
Brighten the day
Drip, drip, drop
When the sky is cloudy
You come along with a
Song right away
Come with your beautiful music
Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
Beating a tune as you fall all around
Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
What can compare with your beautiful sound?
Drip, drip, drop
When the sky is cloudy
You come along with your
Pretty little song
Drip, drip, drop
When the sky is cloudy
You come along with your
Pretty little song
Gay little roundelay
Gay little roundelay
Song of the rainy day
Song of the rainy day
How I love to hear your patter
Pretty little pitter patter
Helter skelter when you pelter
Troubles always seem to scatter
Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
Beating a tune as you fall all around
Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
What can compare with your beautiful sound?
Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
Beating a tune as you fall all around
Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
What can compare with your beautiful sound?
Beautiful sound, mmm
I thought that I should do a post on some of my favorite rainy day songs. This may become a series of rainy day whatever (food, movies, drinks, etc.)
The rain rain rain came down down down
in rushing rising rivlets
Till the river crept out of its bed
and crept right into Piglet's
For Piglet he was frightened with quite a rightful fright
And so in desparation a message he did write
Help! P-P-Piglet Me!
He placed it in a bottle and it floated out of sight
And the rain rain rain came down down down
so Piglet started bailing
He was unaware atop his chair
while bailing he was sailing
And the rain rain rain came down down down
and the flood rose up-up-upper
Pooh too was caught and so he thought
I must rescue my supper
Ten honey pots he rescued enough to see him through
But as he sopped up his supper
The river sopped up Pooh
And the water twirled and tossed him
In a honey pot
... rain rain rain came down down down
when the rain rain rain came down down down ...
The swollen flesh that surrounds a healing wound, caused by excessive granulation.
My friend was telling me about her horse once. She said that it was injured on it's hoof and she didn't know it for a few weeks. One day she noticed that it's hoof was completley swollen and she called her family vet. He came and told her that it was 'proud flesh'. He said that since she didn't notice the wound in time, the flesh surrounding the wound grew too large and enveloped the gash. He had to cut it off and put some medicine and a bandage on it too allow it time to heal.
Just like how God tries to tell us about something in our life that needs to change. If we allow our pride to get in the way, it will grow over the problem and it will become worse. If we don't submit to God, he will have to cut it off and then bandage it up so that it will heal. We must allow God to take care of something before we develop proud flesh. We must submit to the Spirit and allow Him to perform his heart surgery on us.
Will you allow yourself to develop proud flesh, or will you allow Christ to heal your heart?
Did you know that, unlike beef and pork, lamb is not banned in any religion?
Just like how anyone can have Jesus (the lamb) if they want.
Also, did you know, that sheep and goats are very similar in appearance? The sheep are among the goats, but they are not a goat. We are in this world, but we are not of this world. He will come to divide the sheep from the goats in the end.
And, because Jesus is depicted as a lamb, Satan depicts himself as a goat. Satan always tries to make himself as close to Christ as he can, but he ALWAYS does and ALWAYS will fall short.
Once upon a time in a land far away a child was born. He was not born on some foreign planet. He was not born in a castle. He was born in a barn. He lived a normal life until he was about 12. Then, everything began to change. He started to notice that something was very different about Him. It seemed as if He could do no wrong. Even though He never hurt anyone and He was kind and respectful to everyone He met, some people still hated Him.
When he turned 30 years old His life really became different. There was something supernatural about Him. He could do things that nobody else could. He could heal the sick and tell about the future. He even brought people back from the dead! Even amongst all these wonderful things, those people hated Him more. They tried to turn the people against Him, but His increasing popularity was no match for His enemies.
Then, He fell in love. She was the most beautiful person He had ever seen. He couldn't hide His love for her. He declared His love for her to the whole world. Everyone knew and there was great joy among the people. His enemies saw this and they plotted to take her away from Him forever. His enemies worked very hard to try to find something that could separate them and they found it. You see, He could live forever, but she couldn't.
He knew this and it broke His heart. He knew that the only way for them to be together was if He could find a way for Her to live forever too, and the only way that could happen is if two became one. He asked her to marry Him. She accepted. It would have been a wonderful ceremony had His enemies not found out about it.
They had decided what to do, they had to get rid of this man once and for all. They turned many more people against Him and rose false accusations about Him. They brought Him to the supreme court and had Him sentenced to death. He told her not to worry and that everything would be fine. He told her that no matter what happened, they would be together. He also told her that after He died He would come back to life! He told her to look for Him exactly three days after His death. The day came and people from miles around came to see the execution.
They gathered around a place known as "The Hill of the Skull". They screamed hateful words at Him and beat Him horribly. They nailed Him to a tree and there He died. Not from all of the beatings and the spikes through His body, but from a broken heart. She was inconsolable and miserable. She cried bitterly and would not see anyone.
Three days after His death, He did exactly what He had told her. He came back to life! It was amazing! She was so happy! She was laughing and then she was crying! He told her that He had to go home for a little while to settle things with His Father about their marriage, but He would come back for her soon. He asked her never to forget about him and continue loving Him, as He would continue loving her. He told her that they could speak everyday, all she would have to do was call or write Him. He told her that she would hear from Him in just a few days. He also told her that He had spent many years writing a love note to her. Telling her that she would find it in His family records, He then returned home.Do you know who this story is about? Jesus, "My Hero!"
Hollywood keeps creating these 'superheroes' that die to save the planet. They go to great lengths to make it seem realistic. "Why can't Hollywood ever create a superhero that's realistic?" I've heard that question asked many times. The answer? "Because the devil can't do anything as good as God can." As we know, the enemy ALWAYS tries to copy God in EVERYTHING and ANYTHING He does. Jesus really is a superhero and He really does have an arch nemesis and He really is in love and He really did die to save the world AND He really did miraculously come back to life! No amount of movies or comic books will ever outdo the heroic acts of Jesus the Christ.
The real superhero is the one who died to save us all!
